The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Big Island Leeward Waters...
Big Island Southeast Waters...

* Until midnight HST.

* At 1034 PM HST, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was
located near South Point, or 14 nm south of Discovery Harbour,
moving north at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
