* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following
areas, Eastern Garrett, Extreme Western Allegany and Western
Garrett.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings
may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms are expected at times through this
evening. Given the humid airmass in place, there is the potential
for up to 2 inches of rain in an hour, with localized totals of
up to 5 inches possible. This would result in rapid rises of
water on small streams and creeks and in low-lying areas.
