The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Kauai Leeward Waters...

* Until 430 PM HST.

* At 223 PM HST, a strong capable of producing waterspouts was
located 10 nm southwest of Southern Tip of Niihau, or 39 nm
southwest of Barking Sands, moving east at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
