SMWMOB The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound... * Until 1015 AM CDT. * At 908 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Escambia Bay Bridge, or 10 nm north of Pensacola Pass, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Pensacola Bay, Escambia Bay Bridge, Blackwater Bay Bridge, East Bay, Escambia Bay, Pensacola Bay Bridge, and Garcon Point Bridge.
