At 1103 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated diminished rainfall over Kauai. Rain rates are currently less than 1 inch per hour. Most rivers and streams have either leveled off or have begun to fall, though flooding impacts continue across the island. The Waimea River, however, continues to rise in response to significant runoff. Flash flooding is therefore increasingly likely along the lower elevations of southwest Kauai, including Kekaha, Waimea, Pakala Village and vicinity. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
