FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Western Curry County in east central New Mexico... East Central De Baca County in east central New Mexico... Southeastern Quay County in east central New Mexico... Northwestern Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico... Northeastern Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 215 AM MDT. * At 818 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Portales, Melrose, Elida, Grady, Saint Vrain, Tolar, Ranchvale, Kenna and Wheatland. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 344 and 380.
