* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas, including
the following areas, in south central Texas, Coastal Jackson and
Inland Jackson. In southeast Texas, Austin, Brazos, Burleson,
Coastal Harris, Colorado, Fort Bend, Grimes, Inland Harris,
Montgomery, Walker, Waller, Washington and Wharton.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Over the last 24 hours, much the watch area has seen between 3-6
inches with a swath of 6-8+ inches observed from southwestern
Montgomery County down through western Harris County. Showers and
thunderstorms capable of producing heavy downpours will continue
to impact the watch area through this evening. Embedded training
rain rates of 2-4 inches per hour will be possible with the deep
tropical airmass overhead. Locations that experience training
storms with heavier rainfall rates may  experience rapid runoff
that could result in flash flooding. Those living in areas prone
to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
develop. Stay weather aware and be ready to take action when
Flash Flood Warnings are issued, particularly wireless emergency
alert Flash Flood Warnings for considerable and/or catastrophic
flooding.
