...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... Turkey River at Garber affecting Clayton County. Turkey River at Elkader affecting Clayton County. .Much of the Turkey River Basin from Garber upstream through Spillville received 2 to 5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. The latest forecasts brings the crest at Elkader lower due to lower forecast precipitation amounts during the overnight as well as a slower routing from upstream locations. Much of the uncertainty in these river forecasts stems from uncertainty in how fast the water will flow downstream with time. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Turkey River at Elkader. * WHEN...Until Monday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM CDT Saturday was 15.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.1 feet just after midnight tonight.
