FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Lincoln County in central New Mexico... * Until 645 PM MDT. * At 424 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The Rio Bonito has risen out of its banks and is impacting US Highway 380 southeast of Lincoln. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lincoln, Glencoe and Lincoln State Monument. This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 92 and 99.
