Coastal Flood Warning issued September 25 at 4:44PM EDT until September 27

* WHAT...1 to 2 ft, locally 2 1/2 ft, of inundation above ground
level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and
shoreline. The highest water levels are likely with the
Saturday midday and possibly Sunday midday high tides.

* WHERE...Northeast Suffolk County.

* WHEN...During the times of high tide until 6 PM EDT Sunday.

* COASTAL IMPACTS...Minor to locally moderate flooding is
expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront
and shoreline. Expect 1 to 2 ft, locally 2 1/2 ft, of inundation
above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads
and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and
homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will
experience shallow flooding.

* SHOREFRONT/BEACH IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 4 to 8 ft along
with elevated water levels will result in areas of dune erosion
and beach flooding. Splashover over seawalls and overwashes
where dune structures are compromised may locally exacerbate
flooding of roadways and vulnerable structures behind protective
dunes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of minor to moderate coastal
flooding is possible for the Sunday morning high tide cycle.
