The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. a Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from Saturday morning through Saturday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 424, 437, 438, 469, and 470. * WIND...Sustained winds up to 15-20 mph, gusts 25-30 mph Friday afternoon. Sustained winds up to 20-25 mph, gusts 35-40 mph Saturday. * HUMIDITY...Humidity as low as 12-15% Friday. 19-22% Saturday. * HIGHEST THREAT...Highest threat will be in fire zones 437 and 469 due to active wildfires in the area along with high winds. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. High winds may impact active wildfires to spread further. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
