* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northern, and northwest Virginia, including the following areas, in central Virginia, Albemarle, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Greene, Nelson and Orange. In northern Virginia, Culpeper, Northern Fauquier and Southern Fauquier. In northwest Virginia, Madison, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge and Rappahannock. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will continue to produce widespread rain through this afternoon. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely for parts of the area this afternoon and evening, some of which could contain heavy rain. The tropical environment will support efficient rainfall rates at times. Storm total rain amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected, with higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches along the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
