Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Gila County in east central Arizona...
Navajo County in north central Arizona...

* Until 800 PM MST.

* At 353 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Fort Apache, Seven Mile, Whiteriver Airport, Turkey Creek,
Whiteriver, Canyon Day and East Fork.

This includes State Route 73 between mile markers 334 and 340.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Turkey Creek, East Fork White River, West Turkey Creek, Nash Creek
and Firebox Creek.
