...The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota... South Branch Root River at Lanesboro affecting Fillmore and Houston Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Branch Root River at Lanesboro. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The river may begin to threaten "The Flat" area at this level and the ballfield will begin to experience some flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 15.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.2 feet on 06/09/2008. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
