At 625 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Havasu Creek basin. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. A stream gage on Cataract Creek below Topocoba Gorge near Supai recorded around a 5.0 foot rise at 6:00 PM MST. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Havasu Creek basin. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Havasu Creek basin. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Little Navajo Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls, Hualapai Hilltop, Havasupai Reservation and Supai. This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158. This includes the following swimming holes... All swimming holes on Havasu Creek near Supai. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Colorado River, Sinyella Canyon, Heather Wash, Pasture Wash, Little Coyote Canyon, Havasu Creek and Black Tank Wash.
