* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts. * WHEN...From 5 AM EDT early this morning through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms with localized narrow bands of torrential rainfall overspread the region this morning. Widespread rainfall amounts of 0.50 to 2 inches are expected. However...localized narrow bands of 2-4" of rain are possible within a 3 hour period.
