...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Florida...

Alafia River At Lithia affecting Hillsborough County.

Horse Creek Near Arcadia at SR 72 affecting DeSoto County.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Florida...

Little Manatee River At Wimauma at US 301 affecting Hillsborough
County.

Manatee River Near Myakka Head at SR 64 affecting Manatee County.

.Rising water levels are expected over the next several days along
the Alafia River At Lithia and Horse Creek Near Arcadia at SR 72 due
to recent heavy rainfall. The Little Manatee River At Wimauma at US
301 and Manatee River Near Myakka Head at SR 64 are no longer
forecast to reach Minor Flood Stage.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Alafia River at Lithia .

* WHEN...From this evening to late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, River Drive and Squirrel Run Way downstream
of County Road 640 are completely covered by water. One home begins
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 13.3 feet early Saturday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday
evening.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.3
feet on 08/26/1945.
