FFWHGX The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Polk County in southeastern Texas... East Central San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas... * Until 1045 PM CDT. * At 832 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 16 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
