The island of Oahu in Honolulu County * Until 530 PM HST. * At 247 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally heavy showers over windward Oahu, with the heaviest rain falling at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour over the central Koolau Mountains. Rapid rises in water levels in the Waiahole and Waikane Streams indicate that flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
