* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Including the following areas, Fairbanks, North Pole, Two
Rivers, Fort Wainwright, Ester, and Fox

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Heavy rain may result in minor flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The Chena River is running higher than normal and will continue
to be high through the week. Showers will continue through the
end of the week, with storm total rainfall of 1.5"-3.00" having
already been recorded. Combined with already saturated soils,
this amount of rain will bring the Chena and Little Chena Rivers
above minor flood stage beginning Thursday afternoon into Friday.
A flood advisory is out for the Chena River.

- This means low-lying and typical flood-prone areas may
experience areas of flooding through the end of the week as water
levels gradually rise then fall. In addition, other creeks and
streams in the vicinity will be running at elevated levels. As
the ground is already saturated and may struggle to hold more
water, there could also be pooling and ponding of water across
the area which may make travel difficult in localized spots.
