At 742 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring with the Baboquivari River near Tombstone exceeding bankfull. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Whetstone, Huachuca City, Fairbank and Charleston. This includes the following highways... Route 90 between mile markers 300 and 313. Route 80 between mile markers 306 and 313. Route 82 between mile markers 49 and 67. This includes the following streams and drainages... Slaughter House Wash, Middle Canyon Wash, Babocomari River, Escalante Wash, San Pedro River, Walnut Gulch, Willow Wash and Clifford Wash.
