At 1112 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that earlier thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen over parts of southeastern Clay County. Rainfall has ended, and additional rainfall tonight will likely total an additional 1 inch or less. However, runoff may result in flash flooding. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
