At 652 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of North Central Brewster and South Central Pecos Counties. This includes the following streams and drainages... Negro Creek, Big Canyon, Pea Blanca Creek, Wood Hollow Creek, San Francisco Creek, Dry Creek, Spring Creek, Pyle Draw, Nineteen Draw, Maravillas Canyon, Downie Draw, Willow Creek, Pea Colorado Creek and Indian Creek.
