Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * Until 1100 AM MST. * At 737 AM MST, a river gauge on the Granite Creek reported a rapid rise of 5 feet from thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Granite Creek River Gauge. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...River gauge reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chino Valley, Prescott, Prescott Regional Airport, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Willow Creek Reservoir, Watson Lake, Downtown Prescott, Jim McCasland Willow Creek Park, Watson Lake Park, Whipple, AC Williams Granite Creek Park, Courthouse Plaza and Acker Park.
