Flood Warning issued September 29 at 1:39PM MDT until September 29 at

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...South Central Sierra County in south central New Mexico...
Luna County in southwestern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 500 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous road closures due to flooding. Streams continue
to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 139 PM MDT, Bands of moderate to locally heavy rainfall will
continue to impact much of south central New Mexico over the next
several hours. Reports of flooding continue to increase,
especially in poor drainage areas. Low water crossings will be
dangerously inundated at times.
- This warning replaces Flash Flood Warnings previously in effect
for the same area. Going forward, additional Flash Flood Warnings
will be issued for more localized, high-end areas of flash
flooding as needed.

Columbus, Deming, Akela, Lake Valley, Carzalia Valley, Hermanas,
Gage, Sunshine, Butterfield Trail Estates, Rock Hound State Park,
Uvas Valley, Deming Ranchettes and Waterloo.
