Flood Warning issued September 30 at 9:25AM MDT until September 30 at

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 115 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 924 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
moderate to heavy rain occurring over the area. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Up to
0.5 inches of rain have fallen on top of 1 inch of rain received
over the past 24 hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area. This will exacerbate arroyo and stream flooding that
was observed on the west and south side of Santa Fe yesterday.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Fe, Eldorado At Santa Fe, La Cienega, Cerrillos Hills State
Park, Los Cerrillos, Lamy, Galisteo, Canada De Los Alamos and
Agua Fria.
- Low water crossings along the Santa Fe River, Arroyo Hondo and
Galisteo Creek may become impassable due to runoff and impacts
from rainfall yesterday.
