...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida... St Johns River Near Astor affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. .The St Johns River at Astor will remain near Minor Flood Stage through early this weekend before falling into Action Stage through early next week. Towards the middle of next week, another rise into Minor Flood Stage is forecast due to increasing rain chances and a return of northerly winds. For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...St Johns River near Astor. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 2.3 feet, Many docks become submerged along the river and in canals in the Astor community. Water enters yards of properties on Bartram Road, Holiday Circle and along Wild Hog Road on the Lake County side. In Volusia County, water encroaches yards of homes on the river side of Alice Drive. No wake zones are in effect from near the South Moon Canal to approximately 800 feet south of the Riverview lodge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 2.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM EDT Friday was 2.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is forecast to remain near Minor Flood Stage through early this weekend and is then forecast to fall into Action Stage late this weekend into early next week. The river is then expected to rise back into Minor Flood Stage into the middle of next week. - Flood stage is 2.3 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 2.4 feet on 06/06/2023. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
