At 1201 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes, slot canyons, creeks, streams and rivers. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Capitol Reef National Park including the Scenic Drive, Capitol Gorge, Grand Wash, Sulphur Creek, Pleasant Creek and all other dry washes, creeks, and slot canyons in the area.
