At 738 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.25 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Northern Sandoval County. This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 86 and 93. High and fast water flows are expected in Pena Wash. Roads J 23 and J 24 will also be impacted.
