...The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Iowa... Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15 affecting Rock Island, Scott and Muscatine zones. .Rainfall that fell Saturday night into early this morning was aligned more with tributaries that flow into the Mississippi south of the Quad Cities. This has resulted in a lower forecast for the Mississippi River in this area. Observational trends will continue to be monitored through this afternoon and evening, and may result in the Watch being cancelled this evening. * WHAT...Flooding is possible. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15. * WHEN...From Monday evening to Thursday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.5 feet and slowly rising. - Forecast...Rises on the river will continue through at least Monday night. The river may reach flood stage, but is less likely to do so than forecasts from 24 hours ago. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
