* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and southeast New
Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
Eastern Lincoln County and South Central Mountains. In east central
New Mexico, Curry County, De Baca County, Quay County and Roosevelt
County. In southeast New Mexico, Chaves County Plains and Southwest
Chaves County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rounds of showers and storms will continue through tonight.
Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will have the potential to
produce rapid runoff. Soils are saturated from persistent
rainfall over the past couple of days, further elevating the risk
of flash flooding. Rainfall amounts will generally range from 1
to 2 inches, with isolated totals up to 3 inches.
