Central Polk County in southeastern Texas... * Until 1215 PM CDT. * At 949 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 14 inches of rain have fallen over the last 24 hours. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
