Mississippi River at Winfield. Mississippi River at Hannibal. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal. * WHEN...From Friday morning to Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.1 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0 feet Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
